The Organization.

InspireNC connects students with the resources, mentors, and industry exposure they need to pursue careers in STEM — particularly students in communities that are underrepresented in engineering and technology. As Director, I lead partnerships, outreach programming, and strategic direction.

What I Do.

01
Partnership Development Building and maintaining relationships with institutional partners — federal agencies, corporations, and universities — to create meaningful programming and funding for student participants.
02
STEM Outreach Programming Designing and running events that put students in direct contact with engineers, researchers, and industry professionals. The goal is to make STEM careers feel real and reachable, not abstract.
03
Strategic Direction Setting organizational priorities, managing a student leadership team, and representing InspireNC in partner conversations at the institutional level — including with federal and Fortune 500 contacts.
04
Mentorship Directly mentoring students navigating college applications, major selection, and early career decisions in engineering and technology fields.

Why It Matters.

The same access gap that slowed me down early — not knowing what was possible, not having contacts, not seeing people like me in the field — is what InspireNC is built to close. The partner network we've assembled (Air Force, MetLife, Lenovo) gives students a credibility signal and a room to walk into that most students don't get.
